Paris's Neurodevelopmental Experts
Neurodevelopmental
research is a rapidly evolving field, characterized by the need for
multidisciplinary approaches. In the Île-de-France region, we benefit from a
rich research ecosystem, bringing together expertise ranging from cellular and
molecular biology (transcriptomics, sequencing, cellular identity, migration,
live imaging, microscopy) to more integrated approaches to neural networks,
leading to applied research on neurodevelopmental disorders. Despite this
wealth of resources, challenges persist, sometimes limiting interactions and
knowledge transfer between basic researchers, clinicians, doctoral students,
postdoctoral fellows, and patient associations.
The NeuroDev Paris seminars series aim to
energize and structure collaboration within the Île-de-France community
specializing in neurodevelopment. The main objective is to create a platform
for exchange and sharing for researchers, students, postdoctoral fellows, and
clinicians. It strives to promote synergies between basic and clinical research
by addressing key areas such as autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, and
developmental epilepsy.
These meetings aim to stimulate the emergence of
innovative collaborative projects and will also ensure the training and inspiration
of young researchers. In short, these seminars will create a virtuous circle of
exchange and mutual engagement, ensuring that research effectively meets the
expectations of those affected by these disorders.
Ultimately,
we aim for NeuroDev Paris to become
an essential event for the neurodevelopment community in Île-de-France,
structuring a truly integrated collaborative network. The ultimate goal is to
position the Paris region as a global center of excellence in
neurodevelopmental research, maximizing collaboration between all stakeholders
and ensuring that our discoveries have a direct and significant impact on the
lives of patients and their families.
